Mixing Criteria

Stage 1: bulk neutralisation to pH 5–10. Stage 2: fine pH trim to consent range. Two-stage approach required because single-stage control at pH transitions is unstable near neutralisation point. Coefficient of Variation (CoV) ≤0.05 at consent measurement electrode.

Material & Special Requirements

Preferred MOC: FRP or PVDF for pH 1–7 acidic duty. FRP or PP for pH 8–14 alkaline duty. Avoid carbon steel across full neutralisation range. Rubber-lined for lime slurry.

KE-R removable elements for lime slurry scaling inspection. Two-stage approach with intermediate pH monitoring point. Surge surge tank upstream for highly variable batch effluent. Wide turndown (10:1 to 100:1) — verify CoV at minimum flow rate.
