Mixing Criteria

Back pressure must maintain Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) above saturation pressure (Henry's Law) throughout mixer. Temperature maintained below 4°C for maximum Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) solubility. Gas-to-liquid ratio <0.05 for all carbonation levels. Bubble size <200 µm for stable carbonation.

Material & Special Requirements

Preferred MOC: 316L SS with Ra ≤0.8 µm. EPDM O-rings (CO₂ compatible). 3A certified. Food-grade Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) only — no industrial grade.

Back-pressure valve downstream mandatory — sized to maintain minimum system pressure. Temperature monitoring and control critical (CO₂ solubility inversely related to temperature). Oxygen ingress <50 ppb for beer quality. Sanitary Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) injection port, fully CIP-cleanable.

Kenics-equivalent. 180° RH/LH helical elements joined at 90°. Halves striation thickness per element. Works laminar to turbulent. Best general-purpose choice.
