Mixing Criteria

Coefficient of Variation (CoV) ≤0.02 for regulatory label claim accuracy. Very low addition rate (<0.1% v/v) demands centreline injection quill. Velocity limited to avoid exceeding maximum shear rate (s⁻¹) for sensitive vitamins (Vitamin C degrades rapidly above 60°C or high shear).

Material & Special Requirements

Preferred MOC: 316L SS Ra ≤0.8 µm. Nitrogen-purged injection system for oxygen-sensitive vitamins (Vitamin C, Vitamin D).

Nitrogen blanket on injection line for Vitamin C (rapid oxidation on air exposure). Fat-soluble vitamins (D, E) require pre-emulsification in oil-in-water emulsion before injection. Centreline injection quill for very low addition rates. Low-velocity design to minimise shear.
