Mixing Criteria

Coefficient of Variation (CoV) ≤0.02 for stoichiometric precision. Dead volume <10% of pot life volume. Viscosity ratio between resin and hardener governs element count. Ultra-high viscosity (up to 10⁶ cP) demands SX geometry. Pressure Drop (ΔP) can be 10–300 barg — structural rating critical.

Typical Viscosity
100–1,000,000 cP (centipoise) (resins and hardeners)
Reynolds Number (Re)
Reynolds Number (Re) <1 (creeping laminar)

Material & Special Requirements

Preferred MOC: 316SS for permanent production lines. PP or FRP for disposable OEM cartridges. Hardener compatibility: avoid polyester for isocyanate hardeners. Check chemical compatibility with specific adhesive system.

Disposable PP cartridges for OEM adhesive dispensing guns. Pot life determines maximum mixer length (dead volume <10% of pot life volume). High-pressure structural rating at high viscosity. Element count determined by viscosity ratio calculation.

Recommended Mixer
SX Series — Cross-Bar
Sulzer SMX-equivalent. ±45° corrugated bar lattice. 2^N striation growth per element. Deep laminar only (Re<500). Essential for viscosity ratios >1000:1.
