Mixing Criteria

Coefficient of Variation (CoV) ≤0.05 at minimum 3D downstream. Injection ratio <0.01% v/v — centreline quill is mandatory. Jet-to-pipe velocity ratio minimum 1.5:1. System must function at full flow turndown including start-up.

Typical Viscosity
0.5–50 cSt (centistokes) (production fluid)
Reynolds Number (Re)
Reynolds Number (Re) 2,000–200,000 (turbulent)

Material & Special Requirements

Preferred MOC: Duplex 2205 or 316SS per Hydrogen Sulphide (H₂S) content. NACE MR0175 compliant for Hydrogen Sulphide (H₂S) service. Hastelloy C-276 or Inconel 625 quill tip for sour service.

NACE MR0175 material compliance for H₂S/CO₂ sour service. Injection quill with centreline tip — back-pressure valve on injection line to prevent reverse flow. Heat tracing if wax inhibitor injection below wax appearance temperature.

Recommended Mixer
KE Series — Helical Element
Kenics-equivalent. 180° RH/LH helical elements joined at 90°. Halves striation thickness per element. Works laminar to turbulent. Best general-purpose choice.
